Exposure is one of the most valuable advantages that many Nigerians living abroad disregard.  Not only will you be exposed to the United Kingdom, but also to functional systems, fresh ways of thinking, different people, different mindsets, and advanced tools.  The difficulty is that many of us have these experiences but never sit down to contemplate or express what we’ve learnt.  However, everything you’ve been exposed to can be transformed into a product, service, or solution provided you know how to market it.  When you grasp the value of exposure, you may use it as leverage.

Exposure is more than just where you’ve been; it’s also about what you learnt.  Working on a multicultural team, navigating immigration systems, or adjusting to a new way of life all influence how you think and act. If you can break down how these exposures changed you or helped you solve problems, you’ve got content others are willing to learn from. Your insight becomes useful; and in this digital age, usefulness can be monetised.

You can teach seminars, create eBooks, consult with small businesses, or even start a podcast.  The trick is to understand how to turn your exposure into education.  People back home, as well as new arrivals, need guidance.  If you can distil your exposure into lessons, steps, or methods, you’ll become a go-to resource.  This is how specialised brands are born.  This is how side income becomes consistent revenue.

The error is assuming your exposure is too basic.  It is not.  To someone else, it is valuable.  They have not seen what you have seen.  They don’t know what you’ve learnt.  However, keeping it locked away serves no use.

So yes, you can monetise your exposure; but you must learn how to speak it, write it, structure it, and serve it. What you’ve lived through is not ordinary. It’s wisdom; and wisdom sells; especially when it saves someone else time, stress, or mistakes.

If you have difficulty with content creation, you could outsource it to affordable and quality freelancers.
