It is easy to focus on Nigerians' problems abroad, but we must equally acknowledge the many success stories. Nigerians in the diaspora are having an impact in politics, business, medicine, entertainment, sports, and technology. Their accomplishments demonstrate that, while Japa is challenging, it can also lead to greatness if you persevere. These anecdotes serve as a reminder that achievement is achievable, even in lands that were not originally ours.

Take politics as an example. Nigerians in the United Kingdom, including Kemi Badenoch and Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke, have ascended to significant government positions. In the United States, Adewale "Wally" Adeyemo became the first African Deputy Secretary of Treasury. These are Nigerians who left their homes, yet refused to fade into oblivion. They rose, and now their names shape national conversations. Their stories remind us that as Nigerians, we carry resilience and brilliance wherever we go.
